Devlog 1: Figuring out Animation


I didn't expect 3D animation to be easy, but dang.

I'm still sticking with my self-assigned task of figuring out a facial animation system, but going back and forth between concept animations and actually making the animation in Blender as a complete newbie is more than a little daunting. I don't have much to really speak on, besides that I'm still chipping away at the project.

Funny thing, my only previous animation work stems from Media Molecule's Dreams, where I envisioned a rough concept for these expressions early last year. As much as I prefer being able to work with (debatably) more sophisticated hardware, Dreams offers a really streamlined way of making complex animations once you understand how the system works.
